While there are training options in South Africa, many of them are inaccessible to pastors for a variety of reasons. TLI is working with a South African-based ministry, School for Biblical Church Leadership, to provide skill-based training for understanding and communicating God’s Word.

Course 2: Knowing the Bible’s StoryCOURSE DESCRIPTION
Course 2 explores the general flow of Christ-centered redemptive history from Genesis to Revelation. Major themes that appear throughout—each including aspects of continuity and discontinuity—are God’s kingdom, covenants, people, kingship, priesthood, prophetic ministry, and mission. Each theme is embedded within Scripture’s testimony to the fundamental storyline of God’s plan to reconcile the world to himself under Christ’s kingship for his glory. The point of the whole course is to equip the trainees to answer the hermeneutical Question 2: How does it fit in the Bible? The issue of the Bible’s whole story is hermeneutically potent and foundational to handling individual texts and passages rightly.
